The review process
The review process looks at all aspects of the original investigation and seeks to identify opportunities which were missed by the original investigators or were not available to them at that point in history.

They review team also has access to material provided by the intelligence agencies and other partners.

By combining intelligence material, the evidence provided by families/witnesses and the material from original investigations, Kenova detectives are seeking to identify and link suspects to the offences.

As victims engage with Operation Kenova, the team is able to use the vast amount of intelligence and material in their possession in order to establish if their particular investigation engage the Terms of Reference.

This is an ongoing process as more and more material is disclosed to, or discovered by, Kenova investigators and analysts. Families will be kept informed as to the status of their investigation by Family Engagement Officers.
