In April 2018 the Independent Steering Group (ISG) met again for a two-day conference.
Chief Constable Jon Boutcher updated the group on a range of issues that had occurred since their last meeting in December 2017. In particular the ISG were provided a comprehensive briefing with regards the arrest that had occurred in January 2018. The Group were also updated on the significant progress made in all the investigations that arise directly from the issue of the Section 35 (5) of the Justice (Northern Ireland) Act referrals from the former Director of Public Prosecutions.
Due to this being an on-going criminal investigation no further information will be disclosed at this time regarding the meeting of the ISG and Operation Kenova leadership.
